• When choosing your paper, cardstocks or heavier paper will make for a higher quality finished product, just make sure the paper you select isn’t too thick to fit through your printer
• Try a textured paper for a sophisticated, luxurious and more expensive look
• Instead of trimming your invitations with a straight, clean edge, use decorative scissors that will cut an ornamental edge
• Always purchase extra paper and envelopes for any mistakes or last minute invitations
• Layout your invitation with the matching envelope, pocket fold and mat background (to make sure the colors all coordinate and look well together BEFORE you purchase paper in bulk
• Ask for paper samples from stores before buying. Most are willing to send a few sheets or envelopes at no cost or for a very small cost
• Line your envelopes with a pretty decorative paper that corresponds with your design colors and theme
